AMPO Returns Policy.


Our Change of Mind Policy does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and you have consumer guarantees that cannot be limited by us. If a product is not of acceptable quality, is not fit for its purpose or is different from its description or sample, then you may be eligible for a refund, exchange or any reduction in value of the product (if you choose to keep it).

If you have purchased a product with a major fault, you have the right to ask for your choice of a replacement or refund. If you purchased a product with a minor fault, we could choose to give you a free repair instead of a replacement or refund. Further information is available at

Merchandise returned under consumer guarantees can be returned within a reasonable timeframe subject to proof of purchase.

Note: The use of the pre-paid return label is for your convenience only. The cost of return shipping will be deducted from your credit or refund. We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee or refuse any return requests. For defective parts or parts sent in error, the return shipping charges will be refunded in full.

Note: We try our best to ensure correct items are sent to the customers. In rare cases where a product which does not accurately match the description or the name has been dispatched, it is customer's duty to check if the part they received is correct and fits their bike as shown on the description on the packaging. If the product has been fitted without due care, customer may not be eligible for a return. 

Change of Mind

Change of mind returns will be reviewed and processed on a case-by-case basis. Change of mind returns will only be accepted if the item is in a new, unmarked resalable condition with its original packaging undamaged. Therefore, it is important that you contact us before sending the item for return. A store credit excluding shipping** will only be available for change of mind returns.  

By default:

For items that fall into exhaust, handlebar, seat, luggage and engine: 

  • Returns will incur a 15% processing and inspection fee (excl. shipping**) if returned within 30 days. *
  • Returns will incur 25% restocking, processing and inspection fee (excl. shipping**) if returned after 30 days. *
  • Returns cannot be accepted due to change of mind after 60 days. *
  • Returns cannot be accepted if the item has been mounted or used.

For items that have been backordered or special ordered: 

  • Because these items are specially brought in, they cannot be returned unless the received item is faulty or damaged on arrival.

For all other items: 

  • Returns will not incur a restock fee (excl. shipping**) if returned within 30 days. *
  • Returns will incur 15% restocking fee (excl. shipping**) if returned after 30 days. * 
  • Returns cannot be accepted due to change of mind after 60 days. *

* Period is dated from the date of purchase. We must have received the item within the given period.

** Shipping is non-refundable unless otherwise stated. In addition, the actual cost to ship the item will be deducted from any credit amount if the item has been shipped under our free shipping offer.

The amount deducted will range from a minimum of $7.95 and up to a maximum of $50.00. Please contact us prior to returning the item if you need to confirm the amount that may be deducted from any potential credit.


If wish to return your helmet you must notify us within 5 days of receiving the product. Helmets will be returned at customer’s expense.

The helmet must be unused with no marks and returned in the original undamaged packaging.

Helmet boxes must be returned securely wrapped or boxed inside another box. Do no apply postage labels or tape directly to helmet box. Unwrapped helmet boxes that have been damaged in the post or had tape or stickers attached will not be accepted for credit.

Please note change of mind returns will be processed as store credit only.

To keep costs down we do not have the facilities to try on Helmets in store.

Incorrect Fitment

When possible or required, we provide fitment information on many of our parts. If you are unsure regarding an item fitment, please call or email prior. While we will do our best to help you get the correct part please do not assume we will identify parts that you have purchased that may not fit. It is the customer responsibility to check fitment before attempting to fit the item or modify it in any way, we are not responsible for any costs incurred and cannot accept modify or painted parts as a return. 

Special Returns & Warranty Information

Warranties do not cover changes to the physical appearance or colour of the leather or nylon, rips, scratches, tears, cracks, wrinkles, or other damage caused by normal wear and tear, accident, abuse, improper installation, or improper care or cleaning.

Some items have special warranties and return conditions from the manufacturer. These policies are to ensure the best possible experience in the event you purchase an item and have issues with that item. If your item falls under one of the following categories, we will require you to contact us to resolve your issue or process your return.

Physical appearance: Unless otherwise stated warranties do not cover changes to the physical appearance or colour of the chrome, leather or nylon, rips, scratches, tears, cracks, wrinkles, or other damage caused by normal wear and tear, accident, abuse, improper installation, improper care or cleaning. All items are inspected carefully to ensure the products are free of damage and comply with our product standards prior to dispatch. Defects to appearances (includ. chrome) must be reported within 2 days of receiving the product or otherwise they will not be covered under warranty. Once the item has been installed appearance defects unless reported prior will not be covered. Furthermore, damage caused by general use, weather and unsuitable environmental exposure will not be covered under warranty. 

Used and Damaged Parts: Any part which, in our opinion, shows evidence of being used or installed contrary to manufacturer's instructions, and/or subjected to improper handling, packaging or return shipping by the customer, will not be eligible for exchange, refund or warranty consideration. Remember, we can't return products to suppliers or re-sell them to other customers if they arrive back damaged in any way. 

Exhaust Pipes and Mufflers: There is no warranty on exhaust pipes and mufflers regarding discoloration. Bluing or discolouration is quite normal and caused by tuning characteristics, cam timing, carburettor jetting or overheating, and is NOT caused by defective manufacturing. Once mounted, there is no refund on exhaust pipes and mufflers except in the case of a manufacturing defect. 

Petrol Tanks: You must use a fuel tank sealer with new gas tanks in order for your warranty to be valid. They are bare metal and will rust easily if not treated. We strongly advise that all petrol tanks be fitted, pressure / leak tested and sealed inside before painting in order to eliminate potential problems.

Seats/Saddlebags/Windshields/Handlebars: Once mounted, these items cannot be returned. Must be in new condition, with no evidence of wear or mount marks. We cannot re-sell a used seat, saddlebag, handlebar or windshield to another customer, so please be careful before mounting any of these items to ensure satisfaction and check suitable fitment.

Electrical Items: Once opened, electrical items cannot be returned, except in the case of a manufacturing defect. In some cases, we may require to have the item tested to ensure proper operation before issuing a refund. Electronic items cannot be returned once fitted. 

Cables: We try our best to ensure that the cable is the correct fitment and length for the given application. Before installing, please measure the size of the cable to determine if the cable is suitable for your bike, as cables cannot be returned once fitted. 

Wheels:  All Off Road spoked require initial and periodic spoke re-tensioning. Failure to do this will result in buckles and broken spokes which are not a warranty issue.  Air loss is not a fault and is not covered by warranty. If the potential of any air loss is of a concern to you then we recommend using a new tube or fitting a tube with any tubeless spoked wheels.

Rear Drive Belts – Limited Warranty

Due to the possibility of existing pulley wear, misalignment or improper tension, there is no warranty on belts and no returns after installation. Please inspect the belt thoroughly prior to installation and report any issues to us.

  • Drive belt sprocket alignment must be accurate. 

If the pulley is misaligned it causes distortion of the belt and uneven distribution of the load, resulting in premature belt failure. Misalignment will affect belt tracking, resulting in severe belt edge wear, sprocket flange wear and noise problems.

Customisers who fit their own belts, be warned! Instead of taking a punt on whether to use a particular after-market belt, ask us to specify the correct belt.

  • The rear axle must be aligned correctly

If the axle is out of alignment it will tilt the wheel pulley, resulting in all sorts of issues. Be compulsive about aligning your axle.

  • Worn belt = worn sprocket

Just like a chain-driven bike, if you wear the belt, you have probably worn the pulley. Replace it at the same time; otherwise, you will shorten the life of your brand-new belt!

  • Belt tension

Read your manual and know the correct tension for your bike’s belt.

Belt tension should be done when the belt bike is cold and adjustment should be made with the weight of a rider on the bike. This needs to be re-checked periodically as per manufacturers recommendations.
